Retreat means staying away from worldly affairs for a specified period recommended by the Pir. The first retreat consists of three days and is taken prior to initiation. The purpose of this retreat is to reflect and consolidate one’s commitment to join the Path.
Once you have become an initiate, the Pir may advise you to attend further retreats to assist your progress.
The most important retreat in any Sufi Path is called Chel-leh (Forty Days). This is carried out by invitation of the Pir when you are ready.
